A remarkable reference project impressively demonstrates how modern sun protection can be combined with intelligent drive technology. As part of this sophisticated installation, an innovative double-triangle shade sail with a wave span of 7 meters and a bilateral extension of 5.5 meters was realized. The high-quality sail was supplied by GFS Sonnensegel from Rodgau, while the powerful drives and controls were provided by Becker-Antriebe GmbH.

High-Quality Materials for Optimal Protection
The shade sail is securely mounted using stainless steel posts and wall brackets. The selected sail fabric impresses with its waterproof properties and outstanding UV protection with a sun protection factor of 80. It also provides excellent thermal insulation, ensuring a comfortably tempered shaded area. This makes the system ideal for shading terraces, balconies, and even ground and upper floor window façades.

Installation with Unique Challenges
The shade sail was mounted at the roof ridge of the building. Due to the height, installing the brackets and lifting the fabric shaft presented particular challenges. Nevertheless, the project was successfully completed within a single working day, allowing the client to quickly benefit from the advantages of the new sun protection solution.

Intelligent Control with Wireless Technology
At the heart of the system is the C12 series sun protection drive from Becker, featuring integrated radio control. The system is operated via a convenient handheld remote. A key innovation is the solar-powered sensor, which measures both sunlight intensity and wind conditions. During strong sunlight, the sail extends automatically to provide pleasant shading. In the event of high winds or a storm, it retracts in time to prevent damage. Thanks to solar power, no complex cable installation is required, making retrofitting especially easy.

Perfect Solution for Greater Comfort and Protection
The client opted for this modern sun protection system because the previously installed awning only shaded a small area and was mounted at a low height, which was perceived as disruptive. With the new shade sail, both the outdoor space, the balcony, and the window façades can now be effectively protected from sun and rain.
