This year as well, Becker continues its commitment to the forest kindergarten “Die Pfützenhüpfer” in Sinn and once again presents a donation of €1,000. In doing so, the company continues to support the valuable educational work that has been carried out there with great dedication for many years.

In bright sunshine, Managing Director Maik Wiegelmann and Head of Marketing Dominik Herr personally presented the donation to the kindergarten team. The positive atmosphere on site once again reflected the close connection between Becker and the “Pfützenhüpfer.”

A special highlight this year was the new Becker mascot: Waldemar the whale. Each child received their own plush toy, which was met with great enthusiasm and will surely become a loyal companion in everyday kindergarten life.

The forest kindergarten cares for up to 25 children – including integration places – aged from two years until they start school, Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The children spend most of their time outdoors, experiencing the forest and nature in all their facets. This concept not only strengthens environmental awareness but also fosters social skills through shared learning in mixed-age groups.

A key project of the kindergarten remains the construction of a weatherproof emergency shelter. This year’s photo was already taken in front of the construction site, where work has finally been able to begin. Although several work assignments are still required, the board is confident that the shelter can be completed and put into use over the course of the summer.

“It is impressive to see the level of commitment and passion that goes into the work here,” emphasizes Managing Director Maik Wiegelmann. “We are pleased to be able to contribute to ensuring that the children can continue to learn and grow under such special conditions in the future.”
